lesson plan objectives

How detailed should the objectives be on the lesson plan?

I find the more detailed the learning objectives the easier it is to teach the class. If the learning objective is for example, at the end of this period of instruction the student will know how to use this equipment to perform a certain procedure. I find it helps to focus the instructor and the students to complete the task.

Good information on the reply, the more the students are informed at the beginning of the lecture with a detailed objective, the more the student is are involved in the lesson

Anita,

The objectives should be specifically detailed and align with the course and program learning objectives. It is important that they are specific, so that they can be assessed, measured and applied to other courses in the program sequence.
