Taxonomny of learning
Taxonomy is a new term for me. I am looking foward to using it in various levels of student learning. It will help me in writing lesson plan objectives.
Taxonomy is also new to me.
I can see how it will clear things up with the written objective and goals for each class being clearly defined.
Following the simple rubric on how to describe the attainable goals and the over all goals of each lesson and class will help clarify everything for both me and my students.
As a new instructor i have learned just how important being as clear and simple as you can with each assignment and class description.
This Taxonomy should help me be able to clarify my description more. Which will in turn increase the responses from the students.
I like that taxonomy shows those different levels.
But I already have the materials my strugle is assesing the proper delivery. I do like the rubric to assist me in matching the students levels of learning.
This is new for me. It makes a lot of sense! I am going to apply this taxonomy and it is going to make my job easier.
I think the biggest advantage of taxonomy is when writing rubrics to define the objectives.
The taxonomy (Blooms) has been used for a long time and it actually works because it gives you the action as well as the stadard that you will accept. It also helps with writing rubrics to use in evaluation
BRUCE,
Indeed, it is a concept that provides a frame of reference, in regards to the difficult task of determining student preparedness for, higher-level activities.
