Support Material, Notes, and Assessment

I believe that support marterials, notes, and assessments are "the back bones" of any course's content. Without those elements, I believe the class cannot run effectively and so, extra attention should be given to them when they are been developed.

And audience plays a huge part in learning.

I have taught at 3 different colleges all within 50 miles of each other. Each pocket is different. Different demographics. Different foundational learning. Different expected outcomes. Different goals. Just plain different.

I think we can share ideas and try to help each other as instructors, but often it boils down to prepare and think on your feet.

We have to do both! And those are some of the qualities that make teachers such amazing people.

Toufiik,
I have found that instructors have to be prepared whether with notes, powerpoints, etc. They set the pace for the class.

I found that the taxonomy associated with the types of assessment to be informative.

Toufik,

Thank you for creating this discussion thread. In addition, I believe that discussion and student participation are also important pieces of the course's content.
