Integrate technology into your course

I use powerpoints, research on the internet and U-tube.

I use many of these as well, but I also work on using the current software relevant to the class topic in ways appropriate to our studies in an indirect way. For example I can use a Digital Audio Workstation for its traditional use-Recording, MIDI, etc-but I can also use it for demonstration of topics outside the box. Some would include ear training, cognitive recognition, and spacial testing.

Technology is critical to todays classroom. I list several resources for my students to pull from to help support them and the work that is being presented. In that list most of it is technologically dirven. Youtube. accountingcoach.com and Myself. So they can do any of the above and find the answers that they need to be successful in the classroom.

I agree, we have found many useful and effective Youtube videos for demonstrating Veterinary Technology skills and techniques and/or for better explanating some A & P processes.

As an instructor for massage therapy it's actually quite hard to integrate technology.. but I find power points are very helpful and our school uses 2 websites in particular especially for our students. Turnitin.com is used to turn in papers and massageprep.com is used to help with study skills as well as additional help for certain subjects.

I have found Youtube to be an amazing asset when teaching in the classroom. As a welding instructor, I am often times describing a process used in the actual field of work and you can just tell when it is failing to "click" with the students. So I will pull up a youtube video, usually muted, and describe the process while it is actually happening while playing it on our overhead projector. This greatly helps the understanding of the lecture, and I know im not leaving anybody behind.

I like to use powerpoints, you tube, different websites with pictures. It attracts the attention of the students especially if they see funny but educational pictures.

I like those tools, but I also like to show documentaries that also help to break the monotony of powerpoints.
