I feel supporting material is important in helping students connect to a concept. Sometimes seeing a visual with a prop the student is familiar with and linking that information to a new concept is helpful. Quick videos also show a procedure the student will be performing.

I agree. Support materials can be used to keep the topics interesting and updated. I like to use current magazines that are related to the subjects that I teach. The Students love to read an article in a magazine over a textbook.

I have it relativily easy since we are supplied with manufactured data and equippment which is so relevant for when they enter the field.From laptops that allows them to do their online training,to converting into scanners for the vehicles they our testing. Their laptops also convert into a lab scope.You should see the excitment in their eyes each time they get trained on or with equippment they have never seen or used.They feel even more accomplished when the master their use.
