Students enjoy a variety of teaching methods. This is certainly a great way to break the monotony of the class.

I teach medical office, and use all the methods presented, and I enjoy having the students do some of the teaching. I present them with different subjects, and have them do research, then present it to the class in a from of instruction. In the field they will have to help and teach co-workers, so they get an understanding of how to relate not only to a co-worker but also to a patient.

You do things that students thoroughly enjoy. Students love to hear about applicable stories, and they love visuals. We must use teaching techniques that hold our students attention.

I like to incorporate my experiences in the field that I am teaching, with detailed examples, stories, outcomes, and how they pertain to everyday life. I create discussion off of the stories.
I also like to create visuals.

Variation of teaching methods adds flavor to the course. Excitement is maintained when different things are done. I like to lecture, role play, utilize PowerPoint presentations, field trips, guest speakers, etc.
