Learning Resource Activity
Every module I implement a learning resource group or individual project. These projects are designed to get the student familiar with collaborative type of research projects. Reasoning: In the field of medical insurance billing the student may be called to do a presentation on what you have learned from a workshop or seminar. This will help the student practice the following skills:
• Teamwork
• Organizational skills
• Delegacies of assignments
• Leadership
• Communications skills
• Oral presentations
• Preparing Power Point Presentations

I have found that sense variations do exist amongst students, group activities tend to work well. I like to always try to put a strong academic person in each group for balance.

I also try to incorporate a group project or activities. It is interesting to see how challenging this can be for some students because of a variety of items. For example, confidence levels, intellectual levels and motivational levels. It is also a challenge for me to have students work on their weak areas using this format.
