analytical thinking
I believe that critical and analytical thinking is very effective in the learning enviroment, individuals can apply analytical thinking skills when tasks or projects are presented to them and they are to decide what approach they should take to complete the challenge. It is a way of thinking that I feel any instructor to should have their students apply.

This is certainly preparing the students for the real world. It is vitally important to be able to control cost and be customer focused.

I teach Hospitality and critical thinking is my best tool to have students come up with real life examples of how to control costs in an operation and still be customer service oriented.
We encourage critical and analytical thinking by posing several 'what if' sce3narios. In clinical exercises if a student demonstrates understanding of what happens under most circumstances, we ask them to think of what might happen with unfavorable outcomes.
