Developing as an instructor
It is good as a new instructor to be prepared. Make sure you are organized for the class a head of time. I also think that it is extremely important to maintain a professional appearence.
You will receive more crediablity with your personal apperance. Rember that there is never a second chance to give a first impression.

Good point about first impressions. We are advised not to always judge by our first impressions but we do anyway. So as instructors we have to set a very positive environment for our students so they see that we are ready and prepared to teach the class.

Sad but true, first impressions are everything. People judge with the eyes. Students will judge and treat you by what they see for the first weeks of school. Later they will get to know you, but it will be hard to change the first impression.
