Something I've Noticed
Yeah, students will most likely pass if focused and organized, but with all due respect, realistically, most students these days are held down by a multitude of problems which throws focus and organization all awry. Good teacher/student bonding is hard to come by these days. Why is that the mutual relationship between students and teachers, from what I have observed, is usually described as unsatisfactory or otherwise absent.
usualley the instuctor may be bound by certain rules to exclude this from happening

Sorry to hear that you have not had positive experiences in your relationship with students. I have had and continue to have dedicated students that are intent on learning the needed knowledge and skills of the field. Yes, they have many outside influences that can be a distraction but "we" (both the students and myself) work hard to overcome them and keep forward progress happening in their lives.

I too have noticed the same problem. The age gap along with current social trends is making it increasing difficult to connect with the 18-20's student. Their appetite for constant stimulation is, for all intensive purposes, impossible to fill.
