I agree with you about this reward of teaching. Getting to share knowledge along with experience with the next generation of health care providers is a wonderful experience as well as legacy.

I am also in the healthcare world and also require CE's which can be passed on to my students. This is a neat way for me to transfer my knew knowledge to the students. Also, a fellow doc said that my patients love me because I love to teach. Passing knowledge on to others is a great feeling.

I am very lucky, although I teach at three different community colleges, each provides different learning opportunities for their faculty. At one college I am required to take an annual seminar on sexual harrassment, at another I sat in on a seminar on the FERPA, and at the third I have been set up with this opportunity. Professionally, I am a massage therapist and am required to have 25 CEUs per renewal period, which includes massage law updates and ethics. Because of these opportunities I can pass this on to my students.
