I like to think that I model myself as someone that can teach and show students that they can learn, and that they can have confidence in what they do.
Shana,
You are the learning leader so you need to be a model for your students. You are doing such through your actions, conduct and dress. This shows your students how a professional in their field should be.

I like to model what I teach to my students, by dressing apporiate, starting class on time, using the right tone of voice for lectures, assignment and class expections cleary on the board daily. I always say, "practice what you teach"!
Doreen,
Provide multiple examples of how a task can be completed so the students will have guides to follow when they do their tasks.

HOw do I show the students that ther is more thand one of do the same task?
Shirley,
Yes they will because they are looking to someone to be a model for them in their career area. By being such a model you are doing a great service to not only your field but also to your students.

I agree with this statement whole heartedly. Sometimes leading by example is the best lesson taught in a nonverbal fashion. Most student will pay more attention to a leaders professional etiquette than the lesson taught. I am definitely one who respects a leader who leads by example.
Paul,
As the learning leader you are in a position to model the expectations of the field in relation to behavior, dress and conduct. To do so is to provide your students with an example of what a professional is like in their field.
