Anthony,
Well said. You have to stay current. What are some ways that you stay current in your field?

I can improve through better understanding the different dynamics within the student body under my guidance. Furthermore I can make better connections between all lessons with each other.
Debra,
Very important aspect of lesson preparation. We have to stay current if we are going to provide our students with accurate and useable content.

I continue to do research and discuss instructional techniques with my colleagues, mentors, and others who have experience in education to further help enhance my instructional style.
Outside information that is current shows your interest in the subject matter and it shows the student that you are also staying current in your field of study, and it gives the student something different to discuss in class that interests them.
As a clinical instructor I will set up exercises or scenarios that my students have the opportunity to use hands on skills needed for their profession.
Jamie,
This is a great way to stay current as you mention plus you have great examples that are current to share with your students.

I like to keep working in the field I am teaching in so that I stay up to date with the newest information and technology. I work oneday a week in an dental office to keep my skills up to par. My student see this and i always have new stories and example for them.
Virginia,
Great to hear about how you are prepping yourself to be at the same place your students are each time you meet with them. Thank you for the kind words about how our content has been of help to you.

This my first opportunity as a Clinical Instructor. I am refreshing my skills by using the texts books and handouts the students are given week by week so I can be on the same page and understand their needs. MaxKnowledge has given excellent presentation forms that I may use with the diverse personalities of students in the course. I am continuously developing, refining and enhancing my skills on a daily basis and I love it. I use my hands on knowledge and personal experiences working with patients to teach the students as well.
I would not might using Self-analytic techniques by Joseph Lowman, which provides some impressive ways to evaluate personality preferences on instructional style.
Dorothy,
How to you do this in relation to providing them with instructional support?
Gary

bY OBSERVING my student's weakness and help them develop their skills
Kurtis,
Talking with colleagues, taking classes about instruction improvement, attending conferences, reading about best practices all contribute to more effective and efficient teaching as well as learning.

Gaining as much experience as possible and finding out what works best with students. Also, by discovering what methods ork the best for certain topics.
William,
Sounds like a workable and comfortable style for your students to engage with. Also, sounds like you know yourself well in terms of how you come across to the students. Keep up the good work as an "edutainer".

I never thought about my 'Instructional Style'.
I am an entertainer, I guess. I try to bring into the class current news items that relate to todays learning scheadual. When that doesn't work, I use what I have used doing the past. The same as my past instructors used.
Jerod,
Student feedback is always a good way to identify ways you can improve your instructional efforts.
