When working back to back with another instructor, Preperation Is always a key factor in success as well as consitancy.
its embarassing when we are not prepared then students is picking on you. so better yet equip our selves with enough time to prepare & restudy our topic.
They will pick-up on you not being prepaired quickly.
I introduce myself and tell the class a few things that are pertinent to my personality. I then go around the class and ask them to introduce themselves. This allows the students to get to know the names of students they do not know. I always ask for expectations for the course on the pre-test (this part is non-graded).
I always try to be well prepaired at all times. The student know when you're not and they will feel cheated on time.
I like to introduce myself and then ask students questions about thier expectaions
I like to come in early and get everything set up before the start of class.
I even included check list for equipment and all the documents that I need for each lesson. They are part of my lesson plans for each lesson.
