Know what you are doing

As the day begins, as an instructor you must have the positive way to transfer the information in a possitive way, by knowing what you are doing.

I really agreer with your idea of working with the students to find answers. I think that this is a good approach when working with adult learners.

I believe broad knowledge of subject matter is both critical and fundamental. How can you possibly teach something that you know little or nothing about?
Additionally, it's very important to continue to improve your own personal knowledge, both generally, but also specifically to the subject at hand. You never know what question will be asked of you and you must be able to answer credibly. Additionally, if you do not know the answer to a question, don't fake it. Fess up and work together with the students to find the right answer. Your credibility and integrity as an instructor is the most important tool in your toolbox. If you mislead or misinform because of pride or vanity and subsequently are found out, your reputation is shot. Always do the right thing.

These things that you refer to can cause a high level of stress when you are infront of a number of students. Knowing your subject matter is not enough. You must know the lay out of the course in order to stay on track and in line with the lession plan. Be prepared!! first and formost.

Yes, i agree. If you are unprepared,or dont know the material, or how to present it,you will lose credibility with your students, and you will not have provided them with the knowledge they deserve.
