Prep Time
Great Instructors will prepare/organize their classroom prior to students arrival. Your students will easily recognize your thorough preparation or your lack therof.
without the prep time, like you said,we would be lost without something to backup what be say. Our word is always in question.
A lack of prep will hurt your credibility with students. They will often jump to the conclusion that you dont know what you are doing of lack knowlege on the subject.
With what everyone else has stated is correct but, don't forget the prep time for clean-up, meaning start class room clean-up early enough so everything gets put back where it goes & the class is clean for the next class.
Early preperation will also alow you to get in to the proper mind set for the class and reveiw what you will be covering.
I am in 110% total agrement... If the main ingredent is not is not in the pot.. the soup will be bad.. it takes the prep time to make sure all things comes together
