The learning environment ahould be free of unnecessary distractions to allow the student to focus on the material being presented. It should be comfortable and convenient for participation in the learning activities. Lab activities should closely resemble the normal work conditions as much as possible so that the student can experience the challenges and rewards of the worklace.

Set the standards, goals, objectives the first day of class. Once the students know upfront the ideals of the instructor, they classroom will have a more cohesive learning environment.

I think the learning environment plays a huge role in the instructional process. I have set up my class in a half circle so everyone feels like they should and can participate.

The learning environment plays a huge role in the instructional process, for example while teaching in the clinical setting if the other providers are not happy with having students in their environment than they are likely to resent having students invade their space. To maximize the instructional process requires the student and facillitator to be flexible, adapt to the changes and create a learning situation from all processes.

The learning environment is critical in attention span. Following Maslow's hierarchy, we creatures of comfort won't/can't pay attention if our basic needs are not met first. Seating, lighting, heating, full tummies and empty bladders are all conducive to learning and retention.

I agree with the noise factor. It's most efficacious to place students in a quiet location so they can better learn--to prevent distraction.

Obviously advanced students desire increased learning opportunities. Often times, the learning environment may not necessarily initially offer these learning needs. However, by simply finding ways to stimulate learning by focusing on areas that students can grow is a good place to start. For instance, you can turn what appears to be a very mundane location of learning into a place where wealth of learning is unveiled. Much of the wealth comes from the instructor seeking new ways to adapt the environment to maximize learning. New instructors should seek wisdom from ripened instructors on how best to make the most of any environment of learning. Every instructor has had this experience at one time or another and can offer pearls of wisdom to offset stagnation and maximize a positive learning environment. Utilizing tools such as videos, games, and case studies are just examples that can be adapted into any learning environment.

The learning environment is extremely critical to the instructional process. If the room temperature is either too hot or too cold; if the lighting is poor; if the seating is arranged so that the students cannot see what it is the instructor is demonstrating; if outside noises make it difficult for the learners to hear the instructor, as in a lab environment; all of these things can adversely affect the instructional process. Making the students comfortable; having them feel at ease with the instructor; insuring that all training aids, presentation materials, etc. are ready to go and functioning properly are all ways to adapt the learning environment and maximize instructional effectiveness.

The learning environment plays a very vital role in the instructional process. The individuals in the learning environment must feel relaxed and comfortable in their learning environment. It must be free of distractions so that the students can focus full attention to the instructor. This will promote a positive learning environment. The strategies used in teaching must have a variety so that the students do not become bored and lose focus. Many students learn in different ways. There are students that learn best from seeing, listening, and doing. By encorporating all these methods in the learning environment it will maximize the instructional process.

I agree with the other postings. The class environment should be comfortable. There should be visual, audio and hands on presentation to address the different styles of learning.

Without instructors there is noone to teach the courses. That would lead to noone to learn the courses. Then the world as we know it will fall.

This is the foundation of all beginning of the real world. People don't understand how hard it is to get a job without education or understanding of an education.

we are lucky, our department is relatively new and the tools and training aids are for the most part in very good condition, probably as good as any in the school. The tools are similar to those that they would probably like to own, when they start in their careers. The lab has very good lighting, is clean and has plenty of space. The space gives sparation from the other students forcing them to do thir own work, which prevents riding on another students coat tails. All of this gives them renewed enthusiasm which leads to better learning.

Does the classroom fit the subject or material being taught? This can make the student feel more in tune with the subject. Always look at the classroom and instructional process from the student view point. Look at the classroom as the student would view it. Have the classroom prepared and ready to go. Keep the distractions to a minimum. Make sure the lab assignments or hands on assignments fit the subject material that is being taught. Stay flexible in the classroom because things will go wrong. Make it seem to the students that there is not a problem at all. Don’t get rattled.

the enviroment we learn is a key element. just like the enviroment we were raised.

The learning environment is crucial to maximize learning in the class room. If the classroom arrangement or layout is to disorganized or uncomfortable for the students they may become distracted and disinterested. Having the classroom arranged in a half-circle gives good teacher-student eye contact and lets the instructor see which students may be struggling. These cues from the students helps the instructor gauge attention span issues and whether the message is getting across in an understandable form to the students. This type of class arrangementalso seems to make the class more conducive to student comments and questions by making them feel more personally involved in the class sessions.

The learning environment sets the tone for the course. For instance, if the classroom is sloppy and disorganized students tend to follow suit. The role then, is to positively affect the student so as to attract them to the subject and to promote learning rather than distract from. The learning environment adaptation should proceed in the direction of drawing-in students with material and aids that produce intrique and wonder; both directly and indirectly related to the subject. The environment should always challenge and inspire.

The learning environment is very important to the learning experiance. By promoting a relaxing environment for the student they are able to concentrate more on the subject matter at hand. I work in a vocational/trade school. While working in class while they are doing reviews or working on there own or in groups I put on music, low in the back ground. I move around constantly, asking questions, helping them become more comfortable with the material.

The right learning environment is the catylist for a great course. From the very start the students should feel comfortable and welcomed. From the first day students should see training aids, posters, tools, books and anything that will peek their interest and eagerness to learn. The instuctor is also a part of this environment. So when students walk into my class I want them to see that in me. That I like my job. That like teaching and that I want them to learn. You know they can read you like a book, your body lanquage, facial expressions, your tone of voice. It all comes into play. If you're not into it, If you don't feel this way or you don't like teaching you should consider an another career.

To have a great learning enviroment will put the students at ease & create a understanding that the jobs put before them is accomplishable. To show how easy a task can be by demonstration this will show students what is expected of them then point out what they have just learned by paying attention to what there hands are doing. This will show them that what they are going to do doesn't take a high I.Q. only to process the hands on into theory just learned. The first time they take on a task to allow multiple students to perform the task as a group, because multiple minds can accomplish more when working together than by yourself.Once a task has been completed to reward with praise for a job well done! Never down play for a wrong way just explain to them the better way to do the job.
