disoriganization
the last thing I want my students to see is me disorganized, if they see that i'm dead meat in the class room.
Yup, that's right "dead meat". You'd be held up to mocking and ridicule too.
It is the least you can do to be looked at as a model.
Hi James,
You are correct about adult learners. They are there for a specific purpose and that is to receive an education in their career area. They want an instructor that is organized and prepared with life experiences that will show them their future. Anything less is not professional. Keep up the good work.

While I agree that being organized is very important, I also think that it goes hand in hand with being prepared - If I take the time to prepare everything that my class will need for a particular lesson, then by default I will be organized. Adult learners are smart and they expect the very best.
I fully agree, don't want the students to see this
I agree. I try to get class set up early so things go smoothly.
This is helping me prepare for my first class next week...thank you for the insight...I am organizing myself and am going to go into the lecture room and get familiar with the equipment..
I keep a cart full of my curriculum so I'm always prepared.
Hi Vincent,
Right you are. The student want to see an organized professional that they can respect and learn from. Well said.
