Outstanding material. Is it mostly used in career colleges or is it used in other public sectors?

Several things illustrate this. Glazed looks, students moving around in their seats, looking at other things besides taking notes, etc. All signals that they have checked out because they can't keep up or the material is not being understood by them.
I would suggest you use guided notes as handouts. The students then only have to take certain notes while the other material is already listed there for them. These notes reduce note taking pressure on students but keeps them focused on the material.
