Goal and objective
Goals must be explained to the students both in the begining and towards the ends
Objective should be reasseed at the end of the course. If possible student survey should be based upon some of the objective which students should have accomplished.
Hi Aaron,
It is a progressive process and you have outlined it clearly. By seeing how you have organized the course content and how applications can be made the students can see the value of the instruction they are receiving as well as how the goals are being achieved.

I agree that goals and objectives should be discussed daily. That gives the students reasons to be at class everyday so that they do not miss any of content covered. Also, when they realize that class is setup as a goal/objective basis they'll use those terms and ask questions based achieving the day's activity. "What is our goal today professor? And how will we achieve that goal?" By the end of the course they notice that each day's goal, was an objective for completing the entire course.
Hi Roger,
By referring them back to the goals and objectives you help them to understand why you are doing certain things and why the content of the course is formatted the way it is. It is much like having them work through MapQuest directions. They are given the final destination and then all the steps in between that will get them there in a timely manner.

I think I'll be referring back to goals and objectives more frequently now as a result of doing this course.
Motivating the students and getting them excited will only help them.
Hi Robyn,
I agree! Goals and Objectives need to be covered everytime. That way it is clear that the main focus is to stay on task. Most of the time students come in your classroom wanting to know what is planned for the day. It's also a reminder for Instructors too. Making sure students get the most out of their learning.
Goals and objectives need to be covered, every time the class meets.
