Learning Environment Effect
I find that I have gotten into a rut in the environment I create for the students to learn. Even though they may not know or feel it, I have felt it. Taking this course has definitely challenged me to make certain I refocus (I like the term) each class session.
Thank you very much!
I also agree that the goals and objectives help keep me thiinking of new ways to present the topic even if it means taking the class to a new location for an assignment.
I can definitely understand your feeling of being in a rut. I have been dealing with the same issue, which has inspired me to look for innovative ways to approach how I instruct. Each term I try to incorporate something new that will add a little variation.
I feel the reason I was in that rut was because I got wrapped up in repitition and organization as a means of being able to manage such large classes.
i agree that reevaluating the course goals for your students keeps things fresh and exciting.
Hi Jean,
Great to hear about how the course has been of benefit to you. I wish you the best in your teaching efforts.
