Correct. That way you know what you want to accomplish and at the end of the class you whether you have covered it or if you need to carry over some of that material to the next class.

Hi Fiesha,
The topic should be based upon the objectives you want to accomplish that day. If you are teaching flower arranging for example your objective could be that the students will be able to identify and select coordinated colors. The topic for that day would then be "How to Select Coordinated Color Combinations".
