Collaboration in teaching
Collaboration in teaching promotes an atmosphere of relaxed learning and prepares studends for a more open communication.
I feel that my working with other instructors is very valuable. Thereby the students can visualize different styles and techniques.

Collaboration can be with both. Collaboration with other professors can really help with new ideas and methods in relation to instructional delivery and assessment.
Collaboration between students is a very effective way to get students to work together and develop their team building skills. This is very good for them as they will have to learn to work with others when they are out in the workplace.

you are so right. Collaboration will help in teaching i have learn from other's experience. i always listen to what other professor's are saying or doing and seeing if i can apply it to my class.
I was talking about collaboration with other professors. This results in better assignments and lectures for all the collaborators, which helps all students.
I would spell check and check grammar before posting next time. Sorry to be so blunt, but the students pick up on spelling errors and they need to improve on that, too. They think that if the professor can do it that way, so can they. You should be a good example for them in this regard.
Too many students seem to not know how to spell today. They also use the jargon of the internet and abbreviations. This is all fine among friends, but when sending out a resume or a cover letter to prospective employers, who get a couple hundred resumes per job opening, they filter the resumes to eliminate those who can't spell or use the language properly. There are so many others that have the qualifications plus can spell or use spell check.
My meaning of collaboration in teaching is between teachers of the same subject. I have found that when we collaborate, we all develop more as teachers, and we exchange teaching methods and tools so all of the teaching improves.
is this collaboration with the students or with other proffesors?
to me giving assignments and clarifying the homeworks by giving example seems to help the students better. repetition of assigned word also helps.
