your every movement in the class is observed by the students. what you said, what you did, how you dressed, start your class on time and dismiss on time take and attandance are only some of our responsibilities we can use as an examles.
Sean,
Good to hear. Being a new instructor it hard enough so to be accepted so you have a head start in relating to your students.

the transition has been fine so far,as for the acceptance i think it helps that i have been a student before and i can relate to the class alot better than other instructors.
Sean,
How was the transition for you? How has your acceptance as an instructor been?
Thanks for your input on this.

i strongly agree with this,as i am a example as a student,turned instructor.
I know that I am leaving a good impression with the students when they decide to add to their goals, that once they gain the field experience, then they would like to come back and teach! I think that speaks volumes.....
Shirlow,
Thank you for these comments. All instructors need to keep in mind the things you have listed. By presenting a professional image they can keep the course going forward because they have the respect of their students. As we all know this type of preparation is worth it.

Students do hold their instructors to high standards. Students as well as instructors comment on my appearance and demeanor quite often. Students observe if class begins on time, the materials distributed in class, and the overall professionalism of instructors. Instructors who deliver less than expected are often criticized.
