A Supportive Learning Environment
Hello Everyone,
I try to give my students the opportunity to understand my expectations when they first arrive in the classroom. Their abilities are not limited to what we learn in the classroom I like to give them other resources and support their success in the course as we go along. I always make sure that I am available to help them and they feel comfortable in asking questions and giving their opinions.
Thanks.

Hello Kina:
Absolutely! I feel it is very important to have student feel that I am "approachable"; therefore, they will ask questions or speak to me when they have concerns with the class material or course. Often times, the classroom/school environment is the only form of support for some students; therefore, I always tell my student to allow school to be there outlet to let all their problems stay at the door and at the end of class pick them back up, knowing how to handle the anxiety and make accomplishments with their educational endeavors.
Kina,
Good way to get everyone settled into the course and on the same page in relation to course polices, requirements and expectations. From there on it is a building process to get the students excited about the up coming course sessions.
