being Prepared
The way the students see you on the first day of class and how you present yourself is one of the best indicators of how the course will be and how the students will react to your teaching.
I agree Mr. Shrum the first impression is the longest lasting. Set the tone.
BEING PREPARED IS CRITICAL TO MOTIVATING STUDENTS.
I totally agree, first impression is everything. Being prepared on the first day of class says it all....that you are committed to the class and expect the same from the students.
I totally agree being prepared is the most important part of teaching. It's like a student who does not study and "bombs" a test. An instructor that does not prepare will have a higher tendency of failing
I very much agree,I am a well experianced auto tech.( more specifically a transmission specialist) and also know how to perform all types of general trade repairs,I learned along time ago that proper preperation is essential in achiving your objective & goals. Otherwise your end result will be of much less quality & professionalism.I am now training to be a instructor and am making all necessary efforts to be prepared for my first class.
I have heard this probably more than anything else, so it will be a primary focus for me when I start my first class.
I could not agree with you more Rick. In everything I have done in life from preparing for a recital, taking a test, or speaking in front of a large group, preparation is what will measure your success.
