First class meeting
As an instructor, I should make a clear understand of the course objectives and following instructions properly, how these objectives can be achieved successfully.
Aside from handing out the required first class papers syllabus course objectives. I make sure that the students understand who I am and give them some insight to the industry and course they are studying. I want them to understand real world events for which they are studying. After I have relaxed them then we can speak about how we are going to have their educational experience be a success. Be very up beat and positive reienforcment goes a long way.
I tell my students what is expected of them Through the course objectives but also what they should expect from me. I want them to know that I have their best interest at heart and the critiques I give them are to enhance NOT detract from their overall learning experience. I make sure they understand that there is "Fun Time" and there is "get to work time".
i try to explain what the class objectives are and what i think that they should be learning. if necessary i will discuss each section and talk briefly about each section.
