Motivate the Student
In my class, I make sure that all times I am motivating the student to reach the goals in which they set for themselves. Every student is there for a reason and they require the instructors attention. Instuctors are not only to instructor as well as be there for the some students more than others. Some students need that extra support to get them through the course and I am that one to encourage them.
Every student is different and each learn differently. In my opinion, it is not just the amount of time instructors spend with different students but it is what is accomplished in whatever time you have (quality). I would ask the students, what ways/methods will help you to learn and get understanding. I have students that are visual learners, some leaarn by hands-on. I also find myself repeating things over and aver and over. Some students I have to work harder at keeping their interest. Most of all, I must be motivated myself, act like I like what I am doing in front of them, show interest in what I am doing and let them see that I believe that what I am doing is important-be an example to the students. Let them know that they are important and encourage them that they can do this!!!
