Motivation Students
By re-enforcing to the students that the success of the educational program(s) are realistic goals. That these goals will promote success in their future career goal.
Allowing reasonable goals with smaller initial steps can increase the students sense of success early on and still allow the same amount of information to be passed along through the course.

Good way to provide support to students as well as establish rapport with them. It shows them you really care about their success and career development.

Motivation can be drawn by putting personal time into their concerns. If a students says they can't do it, I would have no problem sitting with them on my own personal time to evaluate their problem, and working with them on achieving higher goals for themselves, which in turn would provide motivation because they know there is someone who cares about their success.

Good point. They need to be reminded now and then why they are going to school. By refreshing them on their career goals you can keep their motivation levels high.
