What you do when your average students are below course standard?
I need the various standard ways to know how to handle this situation.
Also many of these students have been out of the educational arena for quite a while. They may need mentoring or refreshing courses.

Not sure of your question. For those students that under the mark for the standard you can set up study groups, tutoring or other supports. Make sure to talk with them individually so you have an idea of what their challenges are and how to help them overcome them.

It is a challenge. I feel that it helps to remain positive, present the course material from a realistic standpoint from the beginning and make sure they understand that the challenge will be worth it. Working on cultivating a better quality student.
