Syllabus Requirement
I do not give any hard copy of the syllabus for the class. I post them online and save a tree.
Everything that we discuss in class, they will receive in their hands. So many students can not operate well by looking on the computer, they prefer it in black and white. Most students are visual students, which mean that they prefer to look directly at it rather than on a computer screen.

That is a good way to direct the students to the syllabus as well. It is what will work for your student population that should be chosen.

I also do the same. Further, if I do need to give the class any handouts, I do 2-sided copying.
