Preparation Is Important

Preparing for a class is vital for it's success. Having organization will set a positive role model and show that you are prepared to teach the class. This will gain your student's respect and set them at ease with the course.

Sue,
It is a great feeling to walk into a class and know you are prepared and ready for the class. This confidence spreads to the students and makes for a most rewarding and enjoyable class for everyone. Thanks for making this good point about preparation.

Preparation gives you, as an instructor, confidence to know that you are ready and have all the tools you need. Even if you get side-tracked, you can get yourself back on track if you have prepared and know the material. It is also something that you owe to your students. They deserve to have instructors who care enough to plan and prepare material that is relevant, correct, and interesting.

Stephen,
By not being prepared you are not fulfilling your duty as an educator. We need to put in the time and effort to be prepared so when we walk into the classroom or lab we are ready to be the learning leader we need to be.

Being prepared, in addition to make the instructor at ease, will model professionlism for students.

Being prepared will not only put the students at ease but it will also make the instructor at ease, and very confident in their presentation as he/she would have prepared for success.

Preparing for class is very important.Having a good organized material will set a positive role model and show that you are prepared to teach the class.
