Common Sense

Think about how you would perceive your teaching methods if you were the student.

Donna,
Love your analysis of who your students see in front of the class when they look at you. It is important to do this kind of analysis ever so often as a professional educator so you can stay in touch with what you are doing and see the areas where you can expand your abilities and expertise.

Good afternoon......Interesting concept...sitting in my classroom and having myself as the teacher, I would see an instructor that is indeed animated at times, and that is great because it keeps me alert and very engaged.

I see an instructor who is always "working" the room...walking around and very often will approach me and talk directly to me... I think she really cares!

I would see an instructor that will present material in many different ways, just to make sure the information absorbs.

She has created a comfortable yet respectable environment... one that I hope to be working in one day...comfortable, trusting, respectable and reliable.

That is what I hope my students would see while sitting in my class....
Thank you
