The first day is to let the students know what the course is all about. Because of that it is very important to let individuals know what they are in for, needless to say the first day is most important.
the first day you need to get to know a little about the students , what their past expierence in the field has been. if any. and to let the students know a little about yourself. it is also the time to let them know what will be expected of them and to make sure that they understand the rules of the class.
