Better Lectures
Students typically zone us out during lectures, so move around the room more, get them out of their seats to look at an engine, and pass around engine parts to examine to keep their interest. Humor and your stories of experience in the industry are also helpful.
Better lectures also consist of tone reflection, body languge & gestures. Moving around so students have to keep their eyes on you.
Lecturing class is an art and you are playing a role there.
It is our job as instructors to relize that students are losing interest,bored or just tired.Asking questions about the subject just covered will also help identify who may be lacking interest and also identify what may need to be covered more throughly.
