Lesson plans should be fluid

I belive that a class is like a recipe. It should be a little better everytime you teach it. This does not mean changing learning obbjectives. Only delivery styls.

If you can deliver key concepts according to their respective relevance, the efficiency of learning heavily depends on flexibility and fluidity of the presentation. There is a bare minimum of information that must be transferred to the students, but beyond a certain threshold, the instructor should focus on keeping the interest level up. Students may not be verbalizing, but they are likely responding to the information presented in their minds. Leading them to form meaningful responses is important, and effective instructors would be sensitive in picking up the class atmosphere and keeping up the interest level.

This has me thinking about having alternate lesson plans. Perhaps a few good templates that would be easy to modify for the specific materials as situations indicating a need for flexibility arise.

Hi Valentina,
Class dynamics are unique to each class and as you say the key is "reading" the students. Once that is done you can target your instructional delivery more accurately.

I believe after the first/second day and reading the vibes of the class, one can be flexible in teaching styles
