What the best and easiest way to keep up with grade?
Of a class of about 40 and another of 20 what's the best and easiet way to keep up with grades.
Hi Vicki,
Blackboard is institutional in adoption. I would suggest that you talk with your computer/programing instructors and see if they might be able to design your own grading format using something like Microsoft Excel as a base.
Another way to go might be to talk with your college and see if they might be interested purchasing Blackboard.

Can any instructor use Blackboard or is this a program that your institution has? We have a program to enter our grades in but in order to do so, you have to create an assignment and post that. My class participation or group grades don't readily fit into that system. I would like to check out Blackboard as I have seen it referenced in other posts and in teaching notes. Any suggestions if it is not offered at my institution?
Hi Diana,
With this method the students know where they are at in the course at all times. This way there is not mystery to what their scores are and their status in the class. This should be good to keep them on target as they progress through the course.

At our institution, there are quizzes and tests given 2 to 3 times a week, along with grading homework. Daily, grades are put in. There are labs, class participation, all of that falls into the grading system which should be done daily.
Hi Rochelle,
Not exactly sure of the question. I use Blackboard as my recording device so all my grades for each student is online. The students can see their grades at anytime. Blackboard is easy to use and offers many different ways of entering student performance.
