Wow! This can be real tricky sometimes. Power Point presentations are very nice but students can begin to rely on them to much. Not enough class interaction. Have to keep the students attention. Trying different methods everyday is important. Students get bored very easily.we must be actors when presenting class materials.

This is a good model to follow for the reasons you have stated. This format helps to keep the students engaged throughout the duration of longer class sessions.

I like the idea of short lectures. I like to lecture for 15 to 20 minutes then work on a few exercises to reinforce the concepts I just lectured about. Also during lecture I like to as questions to the class that incorporates feedback from students. I also show at least one move each quarter that is relevant to my class.

Good comments about offering instructional variety. Yes, we do need to be actors at times to keep our students engaged and focused. This can be a lot of fun when we capture and hold the attention of our students during a presentation.
