Preparing and Delivering the Lecture

When a new class is starting,it is always a great way to prepare what the Syllabus has for us and we need to manage on how to modified the syllabus into our own words and then prepare to class with notes and lecture so the class can write notes, give study guides for the students and guide them each day.

Preparing a lecture should not be a hap hazard by the seat of your pants endeavor. Knowing WHAT I have to deliver (and it's particular level of difficulty) should naturally lead me to the next step of HOW am I going to deliver it? As corny as this sounds...practice delivering your lecture in front of the mirror. Watch for facial expressions, body language, etc and really listen to how you sound..are you whining? do you sound confident and sure? do you use examples to clarify points?

Hi Patricia,
Good point. You are making it real through your explanation of the contents of the syllabus and how it is going to be used in the course. This sets the stage for how the course will proceed from there.
