Greetings
Greet EVERY student daily...they will remember and RECOGNIZE you always if you remember them. Believe me, I have been in education for over 20 years and I have students stop me in malls, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It's good to know that they remember you.
Connie,
Thank you for these comments about learning student names. It is a simple thing but has powerful consequences in relation to earning their respect and building rapport.

I am in complete agreement on the importance of greeting students by their names. It is day two of the course I am teaching and I already know each student by their name. Learning students names quickly let's them know that you value them, not only as a student, but as a person.
Morally and ethically it is our duty to greet our students so they can feel a sense of caring and friendliness.
In order to have a good rapport with the students, greeting is important because it develops friendliness and respect.
Hi Khalid,
Right you are. A kind and warm greeting really helps to make students feel welcome. It is forward progress for them from there.

greeting is the first interaction with the students, which always create good impression on students about your polite and decent personality
