Delivering Course Content

When students are accessing material asynchronously you have the option to sometimes
assign different content to individual students or groups of students based on the
students’ learning goals and interests. This frequently allows students to see the how the
material you are covering is relevant to their lives and future plans.

Kelly,
Good point. The key for all learners is to see application and relevancy to what they are learning. You are doing that with your methods and their interaction with other students in this learning environment as well.
Gary

Kelly:
I agree with your comments. I believe that students should set goals. The first thing we do during introductions is to find out where people are from, this lets us all see the diverse part of the group. But I also ask what there 10 year goal is. Just like you said, some people are there and don't know why. They see other students who have goals and now they are thinking, where do I want to be in 10 years. These goals will help then with what kind of student they will be in the future. And re-enforcing this difficulty that is ahead of them and giving them positive comments, then the students will not only be better students, they will be better people in other things they do in life.
