You will allow a greater number of students in a given class to absorb the information presented if you take the time te research the students' learning styles.If you are to be an effective instructor, you must take the time to do this research and the result will be more learning with less effort!

I think that the really exceptional instructors have developed the skills needed to identify learning styles of their students, that is what sets them apart from the average instructors. This is a skill, I believe come with experience but this program is a great tool to use in your understanding of the way people learn. My suggestion is to be observent in class and you will be able to pick up on the signs from your students use it to your, and the entire classes, benifit.

Learning styles is a most effective process to control and well managed classroom. Students diversity, age, characteristic and level of understanding is a key factors. So If any instructor get idea about his/ her students, it will be easy for him to deliver lecture.

If we as instructors understand that there are different learning styles,we can present our course material,in A way that each learning style is considered.

To help you plan the delivery of your lessons. It helps to open up discusions as well, If you have a student that throughly understands the lesson they MAY be able to help out with the struggling students explaining it in other words or demos.

I can get basic idea of students characteristic and learning ability.

You seem to be a very perceptive instructor! I also try to create teams/groups of diverse personality types when I do training with adult students.

I have learned that most students group themselves in the class room or lab setting by thier own learning styles. However I've strived in the past to try to incorporate students from different learning styles together in groups so they each have an opportunity to see first hand how each person in the group may arrive at finishing a task but by doing so in an aproach different than their own. Taking the time to learn your students preferred learning styles allows me the chance to change my delivery methods so that the students get the most from the class it also makes the class more intersting to teach

If you know what the students need to learn the information then you will not waste your time teaching in a way that is not working well for them.

You're right Brian and most of us can learn to adapt to the different styles which is improtant as we enter our careers where we are forced to absorb information delivered in styles we may not prefer.

i find in my class, that most students need to know that they need all 4 styles of learning.

I have found that during the first meeting of my class' that I have a meet and greet with the students and as they introduce them selfs I have been able to pickup on a general learning style and found that by the next meeting I can test this with a few questions, then I can adjust the class program to the students and insure that the students are successful in this field.

By identifing the learning styles of each student, this will help each student learn the most they can learn.

Ther are many benifits to having knowledge of you students learning styles.
I teach a class called theory. In this class during the first two days we give the learning style assesment.
This gives me a head start over the other instructors on understanding and knowing my students different learning styles.

As an instructor we can then use this as a tool when planning our day to day course objectives.
I myself uses different styles of test, quizes, lecture and demos. To help make sure I cover all styles of learning.

By knowing the learning styles of my students, it helps me to deliver the material at their level, and at their pace. I sometimes have to combine more than one delivery method to reach all the students. I try to do this in a seamless manner, by incorporating lectures with power point presentations, and demonstrations to enhance the learning experience.

By knowing the learning styles,i can accomodate the slower students as well as the faster more advanced students.

Knowing a students learning style allows an instructor to connect with each student. It also enables the instructor to present information to that student in a way that will benefit that student the most.

This can help you prep for class and give every student what they need to help them learn.
