you must teach to all styles of learners
Hands on are great if you have the aids to work with. If you dont there are other means to work with and believe me you should try.
It's important to assess how each student learns the best early on. Thought we try to incorporate the variuos styles throughout the course, there can be times when it's not possible to do so. In which case the instructor can then interject some other style during the discussion/demostration and then by asking questions, determine if all students then grasp the topic presented.
What i remember from earlier module was you remember 25% of what you here and 40% of what you read has stuck in my head.I try to use different methods but it takes pratice . If the class is dealing with math and calculators , you will only know if they are getting it by having them do multiple problem solving.
We should try to teach using different methods for all learner styles.
I beleive a mix of all of theses learning styles should be practiced on a daily basis, or as much as possible.
Most of the people I deal with are hands on
It's not easy trying to teach to different learning styles but these courses are helping to better understand them.
