Learning Styles
When I get a new student in my classroom I always try to find out what kind of student they are than try to adjust my teaching for that student .
I use different styles and aids most of the time,i use pictures,draw on the board,pass out real parts to look at and feel,it keeps the class engauged.
You always have to find out what type of learning style each individual has in order to get the message across. Whether it be visual, touching, drawing, or just plan reinfisizing through questions.
Definitely you need to be aware of new students to adjust your information delivery style. New students not only have different learning styles they also have different knowledge base and learning abilities. It is a good idea to get to know your students past to learn what knowledge/information they have recieved and how they feel they learn best. Then you can present the information in a mannor for the best educational experience for the student.
