Any recommendations for online assessments?

I am curious if anyone recommends good online quiz to find out what your learning style is.

Hi Maureen - As you point out, some disciplines like computers or surgical technology must use some application for assessment, but in disciplines like history we can also use some hands on/kinesthetic activities. Field trips to historical sites, museums, making videos - just have to think out of the box! Best wishes - Susan

Yes, I definately think one may learn software by doing, but history by visual or auditory. So I think it does depend on what you are learning as to learning style. Or is that incorrect?

Hi Carol - Thanks for your post to the forum. I like the idea of having your students share their learning styles with their classmates as it will really help them to be tolerant and understanding of how others need to learn.
Best wishes for continued success in your tdeaching career. - Susan

Add a class discussion topic at the course start. Initially, post a thread with an explanation and examples of learning styles. Then, ask students to respond with examples of how they learn, past educational experiences, etc. It could give some insight. At least it is worth a good discussion.

I believe it is possible to adapt if it is something interesting to you. Being forced to learn 1 style on a subject with low interest doesn't help.

HI Stacy- I am thinking that you may be a person who can adapt to any style. If so, you would probably use the style that would most conform to the information that you were learning at that time. So yes, I agree with your conclusion, at least in your case or learners with the same diverse learning style. Best wishes - Susan

I just took the assessment and my learning style is "unkown". I believe that sometimes our learning style could be based on the information we are learning. Do you agree?

Hi Allen - I am so happy that you've found my course useful! Happy Holidays! Susan

Thanks Susan! This is what I call useful, best course so far. I can't wait to put this info into practice.
