Knowing the learning styles of your students
Always know that each student has a different learning style
There might be some generic exercises you can run that would tell you something about each student.
Hi Sharmalan, Thanks for your post to the forum. That's a good example. I agree that we need to be able to get and keep our students' attention!
Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.

the basic idea in learning is that students are able to absorb that important information conveyed at the end of the lesson and apply those information to their field of expertise.that is the basics of learning.
now coming back to our discussion , a good , experienced and a motivational instructor will be able to make changes or be flexible with his method of teachings. i feel most students have all the learning skills whether it auditory , kinesthetic , visual..it all comes down to how the information is conveyed and how interesting the topic is. Example , if there's a breaking news ,everybody just stops what they're doing and pay attention to the news, and that's when all the learning methods come in play.I know all of you must be thinking that example only applies to visual & auditory , but what we'r going to do next involes hands on. My point is an instructor must have the passion and skills and the experience to be able to capture the audience's attention.
Hi Shoran, That's a good question! Here is a link to a learning style inventory:

Often we have classes with diverse learning styles. The best strategy is to just vary your delivery as much as possible. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.
