Kensthetic Learners

Kensthetic learners are professional using there hands, but mostly cannot comprehend from textbooks. They love to touch objects instead of spend time to read the materials.

I agree, besides, we have to be able to teach using all of the types of learning styles, not just the one that appeals to the student. Everyone is different, so we have to cater to each learning preference.

Hi Tamyra, Thanks for your post to the forum. We all have a "preferred" learning style, but that does not mean we cannot learn in other styles.
Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.

I don't think that is completely true. Kinesthetic learners may not enjoy reading but often have to read instruction manuals or other types of directions to complete their "hands on" comprehension or learning of the topic. They can comprehend what they read even though it may not be completely clear. What helps them clear up the information they have read is the hands on portion of their education. They combine both types of learning to maximize the educational experience.
