Questions in classrooms
I think questions during class are as important for the instructor as they are for the student. They are a great form of communication as well as validation of the material being covered. It also is a reminder to be cognizant of the differing learning styles present in each classroom.
Hello misty I think it also keeps you on your toes as a method of gaining student understanding and it can work as a study guide for the students as well. If you add focus to specific areas they will understandd that these need greater attention in their outside reading.

I am new to the education field, so completing these courses has helped me a great deal, as well as, reading all the other post. I really like the idea about asking students questions. I find it keeps them thinking and on their toes.

I feel soft skills require constant self monitoring, and personal evaluation to be effective. Granted, over time these skills become second nature to some degree, but must always be at the forefront of your daily interpersonal activities.
Likewise I love questions for my students as well as my student asking questions. This is require in life and a huge plus in education.
I agree it is a good way to determine the understding of the various learners in the group.
