Daily Debrief
At the end of each day perform a 10 minute debrief with the students.
Ask how the day went, do they have any questions about the curriculum or objectives. Allow them the comfort zone to respond.
I also do a "completing the circle" at the end of each class and a quick review at the start of the next class. I have found it brings a nice end to the day's class and also allows the students to review what they have learned. I noticed the students really responding to the quick review at the start of class. They started to come prepared with small questions and answers to the questions I may ask in review.
To lever off your post perhaps a 1 minute quiz
would be appropriate.
