What technique do you use in your classroom?
I love using the minute paper at the end of class as a way to introduce the next days class. I will take some of the students minute papers and the students that had questions on the topics, i will use those questions to start the next days class.
I use different methods as well. we may play a game like jeopardy. i also throw out questions to whole class. I may give a prize to firat one who writes down their answer and it is correct.
Hi John - Thanks for your post to the forum. To answer your question, I use many different questioning techniques. For shy students I may ask questions that I know they will be able to answer. I throw out questions to the whole class. I may divide the class into teams and run a game-like competition. I have students write questions on slips of paper as homework and use those questions in class etc. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
